Olivia Ansley is awarded the 2018 NWTF Texas Academic Scholarship
Olivia Danielle Ansley, representing the San Jac Strutters Chapter, was chosen from an outstanding field of local chapter winners in the NWTF 2018 Texas Academic Scholarship Competition. Olivia, an 18 year old senior at Shepherd High School, posted a 4.0 GPA and ranked 1st in her class of 131 seniors. An all-around student with numerous leadership positions and awards, Olivia plans to attend Sam Houston State University in Huntsville to major in Kinesiology.
Olivia is the daughter of long-time San Jac Strutters Chapter stalwart, Curtis Ansley, who not only encouraged her appreciation for the outdoors, but helped her develop the importance of working at, and supporting the numerous local chapter events and activities. The scholarship committee, led by newly appointed coordinator, Lou Von Woglom, is confident that Olivia’s selection as our state winner will be regarded as an outstanding candidate to represent Texas in the $10,000 national scholarship competition.
