IF YOUR PHOTO/ART IS CHOSEN, IT WILL BE FEATURED, WITH A CREDIT TO YOU, ON ONE OF THE MONTHS OF OUR 2025 CALENDAR. YOU’LL ALSO RECEIVE A FRAMED CALENDAR FEATURING YOUR PHOTO/ART TO SHOW YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THE CALENDAR WILL ALSO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE WEEKLY PRIZES - 52 PRIZES IN ALL THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!

Enter your favorite photos or piece of art for consideration for our upcoming calendar. Your pictures can be of anything as long as it’s about what the National Wild Turkey Federation is about in Texas.

We ask that you enter only two photos and one piece of original art for your age category.

Age categories are :

• Jakes (12 years of age and under)

• Extreme Jakes (13 to 17 years of age)

Your pictures or artwork can be of the following (but not limited to):

• A wild turkey you saw in its natural habitat.

• You and your friends enjoying the hunt.

• An NWTF banquet you attended.

• A Women in the Outdoors event you attended.

• A Jakes event you attended.

• Your favorite wild turkey meal.

• A turkey release you attended.

• You and your friends enjoying the outdoors, hiking, hunting, fishing, shooting, boating, etc.

• All types of wildlife, deer, turkey, hogs, birds, coyotes, armadillos, etc.

• You and your friends enjoying the great outdoors or habitat - woods, streams, pastures, sunrises, sunsets, lakes, bays, etc.

Photographs/artwork must be the largest file possible and in high resolution (preferably 300 dpi) so they’ll print well in the calendar. Images submitted should be saved as JPG files. RAW files are not acceptable. Image size should be 4000 pixels on the long edge and save it as a JPG file at 90% - 100% quality.  No identifying information should be visible on the image.  Ensure that the image Title and Copyright are included with the image file.

Registration for the Contest is free and is open from January 1, 2024 - May 1, 2024.

Registration requires full name and email.

ELIGIBILITY

The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) Golden Crescent of Texas Shutter Strutters contest is open to all Texas children under 18 years of age, living and attending school in the following counties:

• Calhoun

• DeWitt

• Goliad

• Gonzales

• Jackson

• Lavaca

• Refugio

• Victoria

Employees of the NWTF and their immediate family members are not eligible to win. The NWTF reserves the right to verify all eligibility requirements. The search is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

CONTEST PERIOD

Submissions will be accepted beginning on January 1, 2024, and end on May 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time.

HOW TO ENTER

You must be a National Wild Turkey Federation Jakes member to register and submit photos and artwork. Click here to get a NWTF Jakes membership. The cost is $10.

We ask that you enter only two photos and one piece of original art for your age category.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

Potential winners will be notified by email in early late May 2024, and will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and, unless prohibited, a Publicity Release, a W-9 Form, and any additional documents that may be required by prize provider within fourteen (14) days of the date of issuance. If any potential winner is an eligible minor in his or her jurisdiction of residence, prize may, at the Sponsors’ discretion, be awarded in the name of the parent or legal guardian, and such parent or legal guardian will be required to fulfill all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein.

Noncompliance with this time period or with these official rules, or the return of any prize notification as undeliverable, may result in disqualification and, at the NWTF’s discretion, the prize will be awarded to an applicable runner-up.

All prize details are at the sole discretion of the NWTF. No substitution, cash equivalent, or transfer of prizes permitted by winners. The NWTF reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value, in its sole discretion. All federal, state, and local taxes, as well as any costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being awarded, are the sole responsibility of each winner. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by the NWTF.
