Texans at the 2020 NWTF National Convention and Sports Show in Nashville
NWTF Chapters in Texas received national recognition for their hard work at the 44th Annual NWTF Convention and Sports Show, February 13-17, 2019, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN. Awards were given to the following Chapters for their achievements:
LA Dixon Highest Net Membership - 3rd Place - Montgomery County Chapter, Conroe
LA Dixon Highest Single Event Adult Membership - 3rd Place - Montgomery County Chapter, Conroe
LA Dixon World Slam Club - Montgomery County Chapter, Conroe
LA Dixon Royal Slam Club - April Awol Chapter, Nacogdoches
LA Dixon Grand Slam Club - Highland Lakes Chapter, Burnet
NWTF Partnership Award - Kauffman County Double Beards Chapter, Terrell | Cross Timbers Chapter, Decatur | Cottonwood Creek Chapter, McKinney

NWTF Texas chapters (Kaufman County Double Beards, Cross Timbers Chapter and the Cottonwood Creek Chapter) – The chapters received a Partnership Award for their Lake Lewisville Wheelin’ Youth Hunt. The NWTF, the Army Corp of Engineers and Texas Parks and Wildlife collaborated to provide disabled youth hunters with a facilitated deer hunt. The event was a large success, and the NWTF, ACE and TPW already have their next event scheduled.
Chester Moore, Cathy Zimmerman, Lee Zimmerman, and Mike Shouse represented the NWTF Montgomery County, TX Chapter.
